Vice President: Dan Pinkston

d_webYear: Sophomore Hometown: Staten Island, N.Y. Major: Journalism (Public Relations) Clubs/Organizations: Residence Hall Association, SGA, Student Entertainment Council, Emerging Leaders program and Rider University Network.
Why are you running for this position? After spending this year serving on the president’s cabinet as sophomore class president, I have seen how to effectively work in SGA and what issues are really facing our campus. I have learned how to work as part of a team and be open to other’s opinions. I’m also very involved at Rider, and want to work to make the university better, if possible.
What issue(s) is/are most important to you in this election? Why? Safe Rides funding, because it is a very beneficial program that is used at many other schools. The smoking policy and fall break are two other issues that will be facing the school as many people are unhappy about them. I would also like to add more garbage cans on campus.
