Qur’an is from Plainfield, New Jersey and she is a senior journalism major. Being a journalist was not always a dream of hers, but, her love for writing always remained a hobby. She kept journals filled with thoughts on her life experiences and current events and decided writing was something she wanted to do as a profession. Going into her second year writing for the paper she fell in love with hearing the many different voices, experiences and perspectives from the school’s student body. Public opinion shapes the way the media produces news, which is why hearing the opinion of the student body is very critical. She loves writing for opinion and writing for Rider.
