Shaun Chornobroff, executive editor
Shaun Chornobroff is a senior media and journalism minor as well as the executive editor of The Rider News. Chornobroff spent the summer of 2022 doing an internship with the Asbury Park Press and prior to being elected executive editor, he served as both a managing and sports editor.
Amethyst Martinez, managing editor
Amethyst Martinez is a junior journalism major, and this is Amethyst’s second year working for the Rider News. This year, she is serving as the managing editor. Before, she worked in the Arts & Entertainment section. This summer, Amethyst interned at NJ Advance Media, otherwise known as NJ.com and the Star Ledger. Olivia Nicoletti, news editor
Olivia Nicoletti is a junior journalism major with a concentration in broadcast journalism and a minor in public relations. She has written for The Rider News since the fall semester of her sophomore year. She is going into her second year as a news editor. Outside of The Rider News she is a part of Greek life, specifically, a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha. Jake Tiger, sports editor
Jake is a junior sports media and this is his second year with The Rider News. As a sports writer last year, he wrote dozens of stories and went to Atlantic City to cover the MAAC Tournament. Carolo Pascale, sports editor
Carolo is a senior sports media major with a broadcast journalism minor and this is his fourth year with The Rider News. He was first a photographer, then became the photo editor in just the second semester of his freshman year. Carolo retained that position until the end of the 2020-2021 school year when he became a sports editor. Not just taking pictures for stories anymore, he now writes stories as well as dabbling in graphic design. He also pioneered the broadcasting of Rider Ice Hockey on Twitch.TV, and works as its play-by-play broadcaster. Kaitlyn McCormick, news editor
Kaitlyn McCormick is a junior English and journalism double major. She started writing for The Rider News as a freshman before becoming the Opinion editor and since moving to News editor. Kaitlyn has interned for Nonprofit Sector News reporting on national nonprofit organizations and has also had creative works published in both Philadelphia Stories and Motivos Magazine. Felicia Roehm, opinion editor
Felicia Roehm is a sophomore journalism major and dance minor. This is her first year as editor for the Opinion Section of The Rider News. Felicia has always loved to write and became interested in journalism her freshman year of high school. She wrote numerous articles for her high school magazine and wrote a few articles her freshman year at Rider. She loves to write about human rights and activism. Hannah Newman, features and entertainment editor
Hannah Newman is a sophomore journalism major with a minor in Spanish. This is her first year as an editor for Features and Entertainment but she has written for this section for all of her freshman year. Tristan Leach, features and entertainment editor
Tristan Leach is a junior journalism major with a concentration in multiplatform journalism. Tristan has been a features and entertainment editor since fall of last year. Outside of the Rider News they are heavily involved on campus. Tristan is a community assistant, President of Spectrum, Director of Hall Relations for RHA, an ambassador for BHP and serves on the LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee. After college Tristan hopes to continue with writing features and spot lighting people who wouldn’t be given a voice otherwise. Adrienne Unfreed, design manager
Adrienne Unfreed is a junior Graphic Design major. This is her second year with the Rider News. She currently serves as a graphic design intern at TabulaRasa Healthcare. Shawn Ballingall, Advertising Manager
Shawn Ballingall is a senior finance major, who has previously interned at Deloitte in the tax department. Ballingall is currently the treasurer of Theta Chi and involved in Rider’s club ultimate frisbee team. Shawn can be reached at ballingalls@rider.edu.
Andrew Xon, photo editor
Andrew is a film and television major and this is his second year with The Rider News as the Photo Editor. He takes pictures at many home sports games and other campus events and covered the Men’s and Women’s MAAC Basketball Tournament in Atlantic City during the spring. Many of his pictures are used for the Rider University Instagram, the Rider Athletics Instagram, and the Rider University website. Bridget Hoyt, video editor
Bridget Hoyt is a junior Communications major. She became the video editor for The Rider News in the spring semester of the 2021-2022 school year. Some of her work at Rider outside of The News includes being an embedded tutor for the writing department and creating instructional videos for the Teaching and Learning Center. Jay Roberson, copy editor
Jay Roberson is a Secondary Education major with a focus in English and a minor in Special Education. This is their first year as a copy-editor for the Rider News. Outside of working as a copy-editor they are also a Peer Leader in the Multicultural Student Leadership Institute and participate in the club Unified Sports. In The future Jay hopes to work as a High School Special Education English teacher and continue to write. Logan VanDine, copy editor
Logan VanDine is a junior sports media major at Rider with a minor in sports studies. Logan is one of the copy editors for The Rider News being at that post for the last two years. He is also one of the sports writers as well. Logan is also involved with the school’s radio station, 107.7 The Bronc serving as the promotions director on the exec staff and hosts his one sports talk show. In his free time, Logan enjoys spending time with his family and friends and likes to watch his favorite sports teams, the Giants and the New York Mets!
Michelle Pellegrino, copy editor
Michelle Pellegrino is a senior English major concentrating in writing with a minor in general business. This is her second year working for The Rider News. A native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, she attended Pennsbury High School where she wrote for The Pennsbury Voice from freshman to senior year. During her senior year of high school, she was also one of the heads of staff for The Voice. At Rider University, she plays on the ultimate frisbee team, is currently serving as the President for the English honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta, and is earning certificates in leadership, global supply chain, and publishing and professional writing.
