Senior Send-off: Graduating president gives his farewell address

Anyone who knows me knows I am a dreamer and I truly believe we make a difference by what we do in life. I have tried my best to give back to the institution that has given me so much. For all four years of college, I have served in a plethora of organizations on various leadership teams, from RHA, SGA, SEA, CEC, CSC, RAP, GSA, IV, Relay for Life, The Rebovich Institute, Bonner and many more. Getting involved and giving back is essential mantra for how a fulfilled life is supposed to look.

As a history major, I would like to give one of my favorite historical quotes by Winston Churchill: “We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.”  Everything I have committed myself to in college has been under this understanding, to make someone’s life a little better by giving my time to them. My work in Mercer County with the Bonner Program at the HomeFront Family Preservation Center, El Centro Afterschool Program of Catholic Charities, and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen as well service abroad with Rider, has shown me that we truly do make a difference.

I would encourage all students to get out of their comfort zone and find something they are passionate about, and get involved. We only have so much time, so make every second count and get involved and serve. I promise you, you will find meaning in life when you give back to others. Thank you for an amazing four years at this institution.
