Drug arrest

Two students were taken into custody by the Lawrence Township Police Department and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possible possession of marijuana last week.

Public Safety responded to a call on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 9 p.m. A male staff member in Kroner Hall reported a very strong odor of marijuana in one of the hallways. Public Safety officers detected the odor as well.

Officers went to the room where the smell was coming from and were granted access. Two male students admitted to having drug paraphernalia and marijuana and turned it over.

Who needs a toilet?

Public Safety apprehended a male resident student over the weekend for urinating in public.

Public Safety was conducting a park, walk and talk around the Greek houses on Friday, Oct. 2, at 2:22 a.m. when an officer spotted a student urinating out of the third floor stairwell window of Omega House.

Public Safety asked the student what he was doing. He responded that he was peeing. When Public Safety asked him why he was not using a bathroom, he replied that he did not know.

The student was charged through the Office of Community Standards.

Harassment

Two female resident students reported receiving harassing phone calls over the weekend.

The victims called Public Safety on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 3:30 p.m. to report the calls. The victims reported that the phone calls were from a male they did not know. The second victim had received a phone call at about 4:36 a.m. and the caller made numerous sexual innuendoes, according to Public Safety.

The investigation is ongoing.
