Saturday slip-up
A slight fall brought about serious injuries for a female resident who was at the Pub on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 1:41 a.m.
The student fell while getting up to sit at a table, striking her head and causing a laceration under her eye.
Public Safety was called to Gee Hall later that night in response to a question about the student’s medical condition. The victim’s roommate told Public Safety what happened. Public Safety noticed that the victim was bleeding under her right eye.
An ambulance was notified and EMTs transported the student to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Disgusting decor
One student’s idea of a sick joke has become a costly issue in Kroner Hall.
On Saturday, Jan. 28, at 8:55 a.m., Public Safety reported to Kroner after receiving a call from a male staff member.
The staff member claimed that while his staff was cleaning the building, the workers came across a room occupant’s door that had been covered in shampoo, vomit and flour.
Public Safety knocked on the door and the student who answered reported that he was unaware of the incident and did not know who did it.
The criminal mischief accumulated a fine of $500.
Public Safety is continuing to investigate this matter. If anyone has any information to report please contact Public Safety at x5029.
Water worries
Two residents in Hill Hall woke up to puddles on their floor as a result of a heater leak earlier this week.
On Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 8:00 a.m., a female student called Public Safety and said that there was water on the floor of her room.
When Public Safety arrived, they noticed a puddle of water on the floor with additional water dripping down into the puddle from the bottom of the heater. The student reported that some of her roommate’s books were completely soaked. Facilities management has since responded to the room.
