Bike snatcher
A student was robbed of his wheels on Friday, Nov. 4.
The male student called Public Safety on Friday at 9:13 p.m., and reported to the officers that he lent his bicycle to a friend on Wednesday, Nov. 2 who left the bike unsecured outside of either Kroner or Poyda Hall around 11 p.m. that day.
The value of the bike is approximately $300. Public Safety is continuing to investigate the case. If anyone comes across a bike that appears abandoned contact Public Safety at x5029.
Bookshelf Danger
A female staff member was injured in the Moore Library while working on Friday, Nov. 4, at 4:37 p.m.
When Public Safety arrived at the library, a male staff member explained that the woman fell and injured herself. Officers then met with the victim who reported that she tripped over a footstool and fell into one of the library’s bookshleves.
Public Safety reported that the victim received multiple lacerations and swelling to her leg, forearm and forehead. A local ambulance transported her to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Roommate rumble
Public Safety responded to a call about a disturbance in front of Fine Arts at 11:32 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 4.
A female resident student met with the officers and reported that she and her roommate were having an argument that escalated into pushing and shoving.
She stated that her roommate went back to their room in Conover Hall
While talking to the student, the Public Safety officers recieved a call from the roommate at Conover Hall.
The roommate began to tell her side of the story. Public Safety officers attempted to mediate the issue; however, Public Safety and Residence Life Association are further investigating the matter.
