Unwanted visitor

A PNG’d visitor was reported to Public Safety on Friday, April 17, at 4:25 a.m. A female resident student told Public Safety that a male visitor who had been banned from campus was in her room in Switlik Hall. The female said the suspect had been visiting her roommate constantly and she was unhappy about it. When Public Safety officers arrived, they observed the roommate sitting on the suspect’s lap. The suspect admitted knowing that he had been banned from campus since August 2008 and was escorted off campus by Public Safety officers.

Threat dismissed

An unknown suspect left an alarming note in the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority House on Friday, April 17, at 9:40 a.m. The note was found on the first floor landing of the house by a female staff member. The note’s contents seemed threatening, which led the staff member to contact Public Safety. Upon further investigation, it was found that the writer of the note was making a reference to a party.

Stolen GPS

Public Safety was notified of a theft from a vehicle in the freshman parking lot on Friday, April 17, at 11:10 a.m. A male resident student reported that between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on April 12 someone had broken into his car and taken his navigation system. The vehicle was unsecured at the time. The cost of the navigation system was approximately $170. Public Safety would like to remind students to secure their vehicles and to avoid leaving valuable items in them.
