Alcohol violation

A student was cited by the Lawrence Township Police Department (LTPD) for underage drinking last weekend.

On Friday, Feb. 19, at 1:49 a.m., Public Safety officers went to Switlik Hall to assist a male staff member in identifying students.

The staff member said that while he was identifying the students, a male resident student said he had to use the restroom, left, and did not return.

Public Safety had the room occupant contact the student, and he returned.

The student admitted to consuming alcohol, though not in Switlik.

He was also charged with violating the alcohol policy.

Assault

A male resident student was assaulted by a male visitor in the Bronc Diner last weekend.

On Saturday, Feb. 20, at 1:52 a.m., Public Safety officers responded to a reported fight in the Bronc Diner. LTPD supplemental patrol also responded.

The student said that he was punched in the head while ordering food.

The student and suspected visitor were at an off-campus party and came back together, but the student did not know who the visitor was.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should contact Public Safety at x. 5029.

Theft

Two male resident students reported personal items stolen from unsecured lockers in the SRC last weekend.

On Sunday, Feb. 21, at 3:35 p.m., two students went to the Public Safety office to report that their things had been stolen.

One student was missing a wallet. The other was missing his iPod Touch and cash.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should contact Public Safety at x. 5029.

Public Safety would like to remind students to secure all belongings when in a public place.
