A male resident student was charged with indecent conduct for running naked down a residence hallway and into a men’s bathroom last weekend.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, at 2:30 a.m., Public Safety officers spotted the nude student while on their park, walk and talk of Hill Hall. Three unidentified females also witnessed the incident.

Public Safety officers followed the student into the bathroom and asked his name. He provided a false name and residency.

Another male entered the room and asked if he could bring the naked student clothes, which Public Safety allowed.

It was found that the information the student had provided was false. He said he was afraid and that is why he lied about his identity.

The student was charged with indecent conduct, personal misrepresentation and giving false information. The matter has been referred to the Office of Community Standards.

Sprinkler activation

The damage caused by a sprinkler activated in Kroner Hall last weekend is currently unknown, according to Public Safety.

The sprinkler activated in one of the resident rooms in Kroner on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 8:20 p.m. Public Safety responded and evacuated the building. Students were allowed to re-enter only when Public Safety had deemed it safe.

A male resident student allegedly attached something to the sprinkler head in his room. He then decided it was a bad idea and went to remove it, which activated the sprinkler in his room and 10 others.

The student admitted this and said that it was an accident. His roommate verified the account and also said it was an accident.

Facilities and Unicco were notified, and photos of the damage were taken. The fire alarm system was also restored. Public Safety is still investigating the incident.
