Sleepover at the SRC

It wasn’t just another prank. On Oct. 4, at 5:21 a.m., Public Safety was dispatched to Kroner for a fire alarm activation. After officers got into the building, they tried to reset the alarm but failed. Public Safety attempted to reset the master panel again but also failed. Facilities management was called to investigate; Public Safety worked with Residence Life to move the evacuated residents into the Student Recreation Center. Facilities management found that water had gotten into a detective head, causing the alarm to malfunction. The alarm was reset at 7 a.m. and students were allowed to reenter.
