Painful slip
A female student was injured while working at the turf field on Nov. 10. She reported to Public Safety that at 8 a.m. that day, she was lifting a lacrosse net on a golf cart when the framing slipped from her hands and struck her left side. She said that she felt initial pain, but kept working. When the student woke up two days later, she said she was experiencing great pain and went to the health center. The nurse practitioner advised her to get an X-ray which showed that the student had sustained two broken ribs.

Shattered glass
On Nov. 13 at 7 p.m., Public Safety was flagged down in the Kroner parking lot by a student whose rear passenger-side window was damaged. The student said that he parked in the lot on Nov. 10 . When he returned he saw that the window had buckled and there was a small hole. The student said that after noticing this, he opened his trunk and when he closed it, the window shattered leaving a large hole. The officers inspected the area and assessed the damage. The matter is currently under investigation.

Spitting mad
A male student became aggressive outside of Kroner Hall on Nov. 16 at 1:42 a.m. Public Safety observed the suspect screaming obscenities at student staff members. The officers saw the suspect put his hands on a male staff member. While an officer stepped in, the student screamed in the officer’s face and poked him. Public Safety called  additional Public Safety officers, the Lawrence Township Police Department (LTPD) and an ambulance to assess his blood alcohol level. When LTPD arrived, the student attempted to run away and pulled four of the officers down. The student scraped his face and spit blood at the officers. The matter has been referred to the Office of Community Standards.
