Rider student crashes car as a result of gunfire
A male Rider University student was shot at and consequently crashed his car in Trenton on Thursday, Dec. 15, according to The Star Ledger.
Nicholas Sakellis, 20, of Clark in Union County suffered minor injuries as a result of the car crash, and none from the shooting, The Star Ledger said.
According to police, Sakellis was driving on the 200 block of Spring Street around 6:15 p.m. when his vehicle was fired at once. While driving away, Sakellis struck a utility pole on the corner of West State and Prospect streets.
Sakellis fled the crash site and walked to Capital Health at Mercer. He was then taken to Capital Health regional Medical Center by ambulance. Sakellis refused further treatment and checked himself out of the hospital, police said.
