Rider hockey celebrates Senior Night

On Feb. 1, the Rider hockey team celebrated senior night, honoring graduating team members for their time and dedication on the ice. The Broncs defeated TCNJ 7-6 in overtime.

The Broncs said goodbye to six seniors: goalie Stephen Walters, defensemen Brian Schauer and John Ahern and forwards Mike Rossi, Tyler Deitrick and Zac DeMarco.

Ahern, who has been a member of the team for four years, says he will never forget the experiences he shared with his teammates and coaches.

“I’ve played with some of the best teammates I’ve ever had the honor to play with,” Ahern said. “Out of all the teams I’ve played on over the years, the most fun and close- knit group is Rider ice hockey. It’s been a tremendous honor to play for Rider over the years. The program is headed in the right direction and I can’t wait to see where they go in the future.”
