Meet the Lawrenceville SGA Executive Board Candidates – President: Lindsay Galbraith

Hometown: Lebanon, Pa.

Year: Sophomore

Major: Psychology

Clubs/Activities: Current SGA spirits and traditions chair, works  for athletics marketing and promotions staff, and Relay For Life.

Why are you running for this position? I’ve been in SGA for  a year and a half now and I feel it is my time to step up. We all  chose Rider for our own reasons, and I want to make sure every  Rider student gets the best out of his or her Rider experience.

What changes would you like to see made next year? I want  to be the voice of the students. There are obviously the big problems  like parking, residence hall issues and problems with dining services, but Rome wasn’t built in a day. As we work on the long processes of fixing these problems, we should look into the smaller issues — the potholes, screens in the residence halls and lack of choices at Daly’s. I feel that sometimes there is so much focus on the huge issues that the smaller issues get overlooked.

How would you go about making those changes? Rider has a very unique opportunity. Our student government has access to all the necessary resources. With the experience I’ve gained through SGA, I know how to use all of these resources to their fullest potential.

Why should people vote for you? I hope that students vote for me because I love Rider and I want everyone to love Rider as much as I do. And I’m very determined to bring Rider back to its glory days. I want to be there for every student and make his or her Rider dreams come true.
