Guest Preview: Constitution Day

The Office of Campus Life and the Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics of Rider University proudly welcome former governor of Vermont Howard Dean as Rider’s Constitution Day 2011 keynote speaker. Dean will deliver his address this Thursday, October 6, at 6 p.m. in the Cavalla Room of the BLC.

Dean served as Vermont’s 79th Governor (1991-2003) and was chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 2005-2009. An avid supporter of universal healthcare, Dean earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1978 before entering the world of politics.

While his 2004 presidential nomination attempt did not prove to be successful, Dean’s policies and ideas are still influencing political figures today.
