Something to Check Out

The sequel to the award winning video game “Batman: Arkham Asylum” was released yesterday. Batman: Arkham City is an RPG action game that features many of the famous characters from the Batman comics and movies.

Over this past week, WaterTower Music released the game’s soundtrack. The compilation contains many big name artists with tracks produced specifically for the game. Daughtry, Panic! At the Disco, Coheed and Cambria, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are just a few of the bands featured. So, if you are a gamer, a fan of “The Dark Knight”, and like good music I would say this soundtrack is Something to Check Out!

 Something Notable

Beau Bokan, lead singer of hardcore band: BlessTheFall, contributed to the release of their third album: Awakening, released on October 4th. This is the same date that Bokan’s girlfriend, Lights Poxleitner, released her second album. Lights is a solo artist from Ontario, Canada, She has been known for incorporating synths, beats, and occasionally dubstep into her music. Her latest album “Siberia” has a sound that is very similar to that of Owl City, in my opinion.

Recently, Lights has decided get her feet wet in the world of hardcore music. She has made appearances on a few tracks written and composed by the band, Bring Me the Horizon. She has yet to be featured on any BlessTheFall tracks nor has Bokan showed up on any of hers, but who knows what is to come.
