AAUP ratifies agreement

Rider’s faculty union ratified the the 3-year labor agreement yesterday, according to Dr. Jeffrey Halpern, the union’s chief negotiator.

The tentative agreement was reached Saturday, Oct. 22, after four months of tense negotiations between Rider’s chapter of the American Association of University professors and the administration. The contract must also be ratified by the Board of Trustees before details can be released.

“We are in the process of scheduling the meeting,” according to Robert Stoto, chief negotiator for the administration.  “I expect it will be held within the next week or so.”
