One pound of pot

Lawrence Township Police Department (LTPD) officers reportedly found 1 pound of marijuana in a student’s  car on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at  6:30 p.m. LTPD was conducting its own investigation and had information about a student’s car. Officers came to campus and stopped the car on Conover Drive. LTPD searched the car and allegedly discovered marijuana inside. Officers seized the car and arrested the student.

While completing a routine monthly check of fire extinguishers in Poyda Hall on Friday, Feb. 27, at 6 a.m., a Public Safety officer noticed that an extinguisher had been used. It appeared that an unknown person had used the extinguisher to put out a microwave fire in the laundry room, but had not reported it. The only damage caused by the fire was to the microwave.

Six alcohol violations

Public Safety officers reportedly found six underage individuals consuming alcohol in Poyda Hall, on Sunday, March 1, at 1 a.m. While responding to a noise complaint, officers reportedly found three students and three visitors drinking. All were cited with alcohol violations, pending an investigation.

ATV running amok

Someone drove an all-terrain vehicle on campus Monday, March 2, at 12:30 a.m. The person, who is not a student, was allegedly driving the vehicle in a reckless manner on the outer fields by the track. LTPD responded and stopped the driver by the north gate, next to Conover Hall. It has been recommended that the individual be banned from campus.
